Overview
The client is a leading medical university with over 1000 employees. They use globally recognized HCM solution to manage their payroll. However as part of their monthly payroll process, they were spending huge amount of manual efforts to reconcile their salary register with actual payroll before the payout happened.

Problem Statement
- Organization processed three Pay sets – Regular, Exit and Arrear payroll every month.
- After generating the corresponding salary register, they manually reconciled this consolidated register with detailed pay element values for every employee transaction and created a variance report.
- Objective is to have zero variance every month for every pay element.
- Any variance required detailed investigation as to whether the error is due to data or due to logic/configuration.
- This was a manual process and invariably it led to 2 resources working on this for minimum 2 days per pay set. This contributed to 6 person-days of overall manual reconciliation effort.
- This was a non-value-added task and required automatic reconciliation.
